Hi, was just quoted $1100 per tooth for Lumineers. Somebody help me. Is this normal? Need to get my sons to go to dental school!

Barbara, Creating a new smile is an art, and 95 to 98%\u00a0of dentists are technicians, not artists. They’re trained to fix things, and they aren’t esthetically motivated and they think esthetics is no big deal. Are you sure this dentist is an artist? You need to know. Is this dentist among the 2 to 5% of dentists who can create a beautiful smile?<\/p>\n And if money is an issue, my advice would be to just leave well enough alone and not even do it. Why pay $1100 per tooth and end up with a disappointing smile? Just keep what God gave you – you’ll be better off. But if you go shopping around for the best deal, I’m sure you’ll find a lower price. You could probably find someone there near Boca Raton who would do them for $600 per tooth, if that’s what you want. \nYes, that fee is about right for Florida. And I want to caution you to be very careful with Lumineers<\/a>. Maybe you’re going to an expert cosmetic dentist and maybe you’re not. The company that makes\u00a0Lumineers is really pushing this because, of course, they want\u00a0to sell as many\u00a0of them as possible. And so many non-expert cosmetic dentists are getting on the bandwagon. “Hey, this is easy, any dentist<\/em> can do this,” is what they’re told. But not so.<\/p>\n
